What is JobTrainer?
In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Australian government, in partnership with the state and territory governments, are providing free and low-fee training through the Job Trainer Fund (“JobTrainer”). This initiative is aimed at supporting job seekers, school leavers and young people to access the skills and training needed to find employment. JobTrainer is focussed on providing qualifications to enter growth areas in the economy, providing people with the greatest opportunity for employment and long-term career progression as the Queensland economy recovers from the pandemic.
What Courses are Covered and What Will It Cost?
Skills Generation is now offering a select number of courses funded through JobTrainer to eligible students in Queensland.
Qualifications up to and including Certificate III are fully funded for eligible students with no additional fees. Certificate IV and Diploma level qualifications are funded at the concessional rate with student fees up to $150.
Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
Certificate III in Individual Support*
Certificate III in Education Support
Certificate III in Community Services
Certificate IV in Youth Work
Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention
* Individual Support classification applies to courses in Disability, Ageing, and Home and Community Care offered by Skills Generation

Enrolments in JobTrainer will be open until 30 September 2021 with all training to be completed by 30 June 2022.
